SYDNEE R. SINGER is a Senior Counsel of Tharpe & Howell, LLP, in its Civil Litigation Practice Group based in Sherman Oaks, California.  She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1988 and has served as lead counsel in more than 30 trials over the course of her career.   As a result of her successful trial experience, Ms. Singer was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has also served as a Judge Pro Tem and pro bono Arbitrator/Mediator for the Los Angeles County courts.   Currently, Ms. Singer focuses her practice primarily on the defense of automobile liability (including uninsured and underinsured motorist claims), premises liability, products liability, and other negligence cases.

Prior to joining Tharpe & Howell, Ms. Singer also handled a broad range of matters involving professional malpractice/errors and omissions, environmental torts, employment law, and ADA claims.  She has appeared before hundreds of trial and appellate court judges throughout Southern California and has a wealth of practical knowledge and experience in all facets of civil litigation in matters adjudicated in Federal, State, and Appellate Courts.

Ms. Singer has been an invited guest speaker at numerous professional events and is a contributing author on various publications including:  The Art of Negotiation:  Assertiveness vs. Aggressiveness (Smith & Singer); The Firing Line:  Handling the Opposing Damages Expert (Howarth & Singer); and Satellite/Dish Antenna Technology:  A Copyright Owner’s Dilemma (Singer). ”
